Welcome to the Hidden Words Project!

Each Hidden Word has a post that includes the names of artists that have put the Hidden Word to music as well as links to their music if available.

If you know of an artist/song/rendition that I have missed please comment with the information. This way together we can build a collection of music around the Hidden Words.

If you are an artist please consider putting one of the Hidden Words without a song yet to music. It will be a great service.

Thank you so much for visiting this blog and I hope it serves you well.

Persian Hidden Word #39

O OFFSPRING OF DUST!
Be not content with the ease of a passing day, and deprive not thyself of everlasting rest. Barter not the garden of eternal delight for the dust-heap of a mortal world. Up from thy prison ascend unto the glorious meads above, and from thy mortal cage wing thy flight unto the paradise of the Placeless.

The Canadian band The Hidden Words have a version called Paradise of the Placeless available on Bandcamp.

Maureen Hunter and Niaz McGuire have a version called Everlasting Rest on their album Higher Vision available on iTunes.

Bahareh Khademi and Scott Schinella perform this Hidden Word in a Baha’i Blog Studio Session available on YouTube.
